Abstract

The effect of Plant Growth Regulators (PGRs) on ischolar_maining of cuttings were studied in two species D. latifolia and D. sissoo. Among PGRs taken (2000 ppm, 5000 ppm, 8000 ppm of IBA and Suischolar_mainex-05 in powder form), IBA 5000 ppm showed significant effect on all the parameters regarding ischolar_maining behaviour. So far species are concerned D. Sissoo showed pronounced effects on aforesaid characters in comparison to D. latifolia.

Abstract

The tribals of Chotanagpur region are still dependent on the primitive methods of agriculture and their livelihood is supported by different forest produces. In the present survey the forest produces and different parts of plant species exploited from nearby forests and utilised by these tribals for food, medicine and to fulfil their other daily requirements including as a source of income, are identified.
